  • October 15, 2007

The second season of Poker After Dark continued with its 19th episode titled "Bracelet Winners - Night 1." The show featured eight different players who all have at least one WSOP bracelet to their name. This episode marked the beginning of a two-night event where these seasoned players battled it out on the felt.

The episode started off with a friendly banter amongst the players about their previous victories and some trash talking. The players then took their seats at the table, which was decorated with gold WSOP bracelets. Commentators Gabe Kaplan and Shawn Sheikan provided expert analysis on the players' strategies and gave insight into their thought process.

The first hand of the night was won by Eli Elezra, who is known as a master of seven-card stud, but he also proved to be a force to be reckoned with in no-limit hold'em, which was the game being played in this episode. Elezra showed great patience and skill in his plays that night.

Next up was the youngest player at the table, 23-year-old Jeff Madsen, who already has two WSOP bracelets to his name at such a young age. Madsen was aggressive and played a loose game, but with great efficiency. He won several hands, including one with a bluff that impressed everyone at the table.

Another player at the table was Mike Matusow, who is no stranger to controversy and is known for his temper. But in this episode, he was calm and collected, playing a tight game with some well-timed bluffs. Matusow won several hands and showed that he is still a force to be reckoned with in the poker world.

The only woman at the table was Jennifer Harman, who is one of the most respected players in the game and has two WSOP bracelets. Harman played a solid game, but she had some tough luck as she failed to win any significant pots.

David Williams, who won a bracelet in 2006, played a cautious game. He won a few big hands, including one where he showed some excellent re-raising skills. Williams was one of the more reserved players at the table, but he showed that he could hang with the best of them.

The oldest player at the table, Chip Reese, who has three WSOP bracelets, played a patient game throughout the night. Reese was one of the more conservative players at the table, but his skills were evident in the way he read his opponents and made some great calls.

Todd Brunson, who has won two WSOP bracelets, played a tight and aggressive game. He won several hands, including one where he made a great call with just a pair of nines. Brunson was focused and showed that he was there to win.

Finally, Phil Hellmuth, who has a whopping 11 WSOP bracelets, was the last player to take his seat at the table. Hellmuth has a reputation for being arrogant and egotistical, but in this episode, he played a solid game and won several key hands.

Overall, Bracelet Winners - Night 1 was an exciting episode of Poker After Dark. It showcased some of the best poker players in the world and provided an entertaining and informative insight into their playing styles and strategies. The second part of this two-night event is eagerly awaited by poker fans, who are sure to be treated to some more thrilling hands and expert commentary.
