Ep 17. Spontaneous Combusken

Ash, May, Max, and Brock continue their journey through the Hoenn region and arrive at the Mauville City Gym, where Ash is eager to challenge Leader Wattson for his third badge. However, when they arrive at the gym, they find a chaotic scene - Wattson's electric Pokemon are going haywire, and it seems like something is wrong with their Gym Leader.

As they investigate, the group meets Wattson's daughter, who explains that her father has been working too hard and hasn't been taking care of himself. She suggests that they take Wattson to a hot springs resort to help him relax. However, as they're leaving the gym, they encounter a combusken who seems to have a grudge against Wattson's Pokemon.

The group sets off for the hot springs, with Wattson and his daughter in tow. Along the way, they continue to encounter the combusken, who seems to be causing trouble wherever it goes. The combusken is clearly very powerful, and it takes on many of Ash and his friends' Pokemon with ease.

Eventually, the group arrives at the hot springs resort, where they hope to enjoy some rest and relaxation after their battles. However, they quickly find that the combusken has followed them there and is causing chaos throughout the resort. The guests are all terrified, and it seems like no one can stop the rampaging combusken.

Ash and Pikachu step up to the challenge and try to take down the combusken, but they quickly realize that it's too strong for them to handle alone. It seems like the situation is impossible, until one of Wattson's Pokemon steps up to fight the combusken.

With their combined powers, Wattson's Pokemon and Ash's Pikachu are able to take down the combusken once and for all. Wattson, who has been watching the battle from afar, is impressed by the strength of Ash and his friends. He thanks them for stopping the combusken and for helping him see that he needs to take better care of himself.

As the group prepares to leave the hot springs resort, they encounter the combusken once more. However, this time it seems different - instead of being aggressive and violent, the combusken seems to be trying to communicate with them. Ash begins to realize that the combusken was simply trying to protect its own home, and that it only became violent when it sensed that Wattson's Pokemon were a threat.

With this realization, Ash and his friends decide to help the combusken return home safely. They journey with it back to its home in the mountains, where they encounter a powerful Blaziken who seems to be the leader of the group. The combusken reunites with its family, and Ash and his friends learn an important lesson about trusting the instincts of Pokemon.

As they say goodbye to the combusken and head back on the road, Ash and his friends are confident that they can take on whatever challenges come their way. They've learned to trust their own instincts, as well as the instincts of their Pokemon, and they know that they're stronger as a team than they ever could be alone.
