Ep 8. Solid as a Solrock

On "Solid as a Solrock," we find Ash, Pikachu, and Brock trekking up a tall mountain in order to reach the Mt. Moon Festival, which is a celebration that only happens once every hundred years. Along the way, they come across a trainer named Shane, who is also headed to the festival. Shane has a Solrock, and he challenges Ash to a battle.

As they make their way up the mountain, the gang runs into a group of scientists who are studying the effects of the Mt. Moon Festival on the Pokémon in the area. They explain that the festival can cause strange energy fluctuations that mess with their client's brainwaves and alter their behavior in unpredictable ways.

The group also meets Luna, a Pokémon trainer who specializes in rock-type Pokémon like Solrock. She suggests they take Solrock to a secret location where it can be safe from the energy fluctuations. After some tense moments, the group successfully navigates through treacherous terrain to reach a hidden cave.

Once they arrive, they discover that the cave houses hundreds of different Pokemon, all trying to escape the effects of the festival. Solrock is immediately drawn to one of the other Pokémon living there, and they begin to communicate using telepathy. Solrock's behavior calms down, and the gang realizes that its agitation was caused by its struggles to communicate with humans without telepathy.

The episode ends on a positive note, with everyone happy and healthy. Ash and his friends make it to the Mt. Moon Festival, where they get to enjoy all of its many wonders and attractions. The energy fluctuations have settled down, and all of the Pokémon seem to be enjoying themselves without any strange behavior.
