Ep 22. Date Expectations

Ash, May, Max, and Brock decide to take an afternoon off from their travels to relax and explore the town of Wisteria. While walking around, they stumble upon a festival and learn that it's a celebration of love and relationships. May and Max get excited about the festival, and they encourage Ash and Brock to join in the fun.

As the group enjoys the festival, they meet a girl named Julie who catches Max's eye. Max is immediately smitten, but he's too nervous to talk to her. May realizes what's going on and tries to give Max some dating advice, but her tips only make Max even more anxious.

Meanwhile, Ash and Brock encounter a trainer named Tommy who is looking for a date for the festival's big dance. Tommy asks Brock to go to the dance with him, but Brock is hesitant. Ash helps Brock muster up the courage to say yes to Tommy's invitation and encourages him to have a good time.

While Ash and Brock prepare for the dance, May and Max continue their quest to help Max impress Julie. They come up with a plan for Max to show off his knowledge of Pokemon, as Julie is a big fan of the creatures. However, things don't go as planned, and Max's insecurities continue to hold him back.

At the dance, Ash and Brock have a great time with Tommy and his friends, but Brock starts to feel uncomfortable when he realizes that Tommy is only using him as a way to make his ex-girlfriend jealous. Meanwhile, Max finally gets the chance to talk to Julie, and he learns that she's also obsessed with Pokemon. Max is thrilled and finally begins to relax and be himself around her.

As the night progresses, Ash and Brock realize that they need to have an honest conversation with Tommy. They confront him about his intentions, and Tommy admits that he was wrong to use Brock. He apologizes and thanks them for being such great friends, and Brock forgives him.

Meanwhile, Max and Julie continue to bond over their shared love of Pokemon. They exchange phone numbers and make plans to battle each other in the future. May is thrilled for her brother and excited that he's finally found someone that shares his interests.

As the festival comes to an end, the group reflects on their day and the unexpected adventures that they had. They realize that sometimes the best experiences come when you least expect them, and that true love and friendships can be found in the most unlikely of places.
