Ep 37. Wish Upon a Star Shape

Ash and his friends come across a friendly Wailord who has gotten separated from his pod. While trying to help Wailord find his way back home, the group discovers a rare Star Shape Pokemon named Jirachi. Jirachi has the ability to grant wishes and has been asleep for many years until a comet's arrival awakened him.

Excited to have made a new friend and eager to have their wishes granted, Ash and his friends spend the day playing and bonding with Jirachi. However, they soon realize that their wish-granting abilities come with a price: Jirachi's energy is depleted every time he grants a wish, and he can only use his power once every thousand years.

As they try to figure out a way to help Jirachi, the evil duo of Jessie and James from Team Rocket, aided by Meowth, decide to capture Jirachi for their own use. Using their typical hijinks and gadgets, they manage to trap Jirachi and take him away from the group.

But just as the nefarious trio thinks they have won, they quickly realize that Jirachi's wish-granting powers are not to be underestimated. As they wish for more and more things, Jirachi's energy becomes increasingly depleted. It's up to Ash and his friends to rescue Jirachi and restore the balance before it's too late.

With teamwork, perseverance, and a little bit of luck, Ash and his friends not only save Jirachi but also teach a valuable lesson about the importance of being careful what you wish for. The episode culminates in an emotional goodbye as Jirachi prepares to go back to sleep for another thousand years, hoping to leave behind lasting memories and new friendships.
