Ep 28. As Cold as Pryce

As Cold as Pryce is the 28th episode of the fifth season of Pokemon, also known as Pokemon: Master Quest. The episode follows Ash and his friends as they continue their journey through the Johto region in search of badges and new Pokemon to add to their collection.

In this episode, the group arrives in Mahogany Town, where they plan on challenging the local gym leader Pryce. However, upon arriving in town, they quickly discover that something strange is going on. The town seems to be plagued by a strange cold weather, despite it being the middle of summer.

As they investigate further, Ash and his friends come to learn that Pryce, the gym leader they were hoping to challenge, is actually responsible for the unusual weather. Pryce is a powerful trainer who has the ability to control ice and cold temperatures, and he has been using his powers to freeze the town in an attempt to protect his beloved Pokemon.

Despite this revelation, Ash and his friends are determined to challenge Pryce for the Glacier Badge. They make their way to the gym, but quickly find themselves facing a difficult challenge. Pryce's Pokemon are powerful and well trained, and his mastery over ice makes it difficult for Ash and his friends to get the upper hand.

As the battle rages on, Ash's Pikachu is ultimately able to defeat Pryce's powerful Piloswine, earning Ash the Glacier Badge. However, the victory is bittersweet, as it is clear that Pryce is disappointed to have lost the battle. He explains to Ash and his friends that he has always been a bit of a loner, and that his Pokemon are the only real friends he has.

Feeling sorry for Pryce, Ash and his friends offer to help him come up with a solution to the strange weather problem. Together, the group discovers that the source of the problem is a hidden laboratory on the outskirts of town, where a group of scientists have been conducting experiments that have gone awry.

After confronting the scientists and putting a stop to their experiments, the weather in Mahogany Town returns to normal. Pryce, grateful for the help of Ash and his friends, decides to retire from his position as gym leader and travel the world with his beloved Pokemon.

As the episode comes to a close, Ash and his friends continue on their journey through the Johto region, excited to see what other challenges and adventures await them.
