Ep 18. For Ho-Oh the Bells Toll

Ash, Misty, and Brock continue their journey to Johto, when they hear the sound of bells ringing in the distance. Following the sound, they come across a small village where they witness the annual ritual of ringing a large bell to summon the legendary Ho-Oh.

As they watch the ceremony, Ash and his friends meet up with Morty, the gym leader of Ecruteak City and a renowned expert on Ho-Oh. Morty explains that the bell ringing ceremony is held every year to honor Ho-Oh, who is said to appear to those who ring the bell with pure hearts.

Intrigued by the legend, Ash and his friends decide to take part in the ceremony. However, just as they are about to ring the bell, Team Rocket appears and steals the bell.

Ash, Misty, Brock, and Morty set out to retrieve the bell and stop Team Rocket from disrupting the ceremony. Along the way, they encounter a group of wild Snubbull who cause trouble for the group.

As they continue their journey, Ash and his friends meet up with three other trainers who are also on their quest to encounter Ho-Oh. Together, they set out to stop Team Rocket and retrieve the bell.

After a series of battles, the group finally reaches Team Rocket's hideout where they find the stolen bell. However, they also discover that Team Rocket has set a trap for them.

Using their Pokemon, the group is able to escape the trap and retrieve the stolen bell. They return the bell to the village just in time for the ceremony, and with pure hearts, they ring the bell, summoning Ho-Oh.

As Ho-Oh appears in the sky, Ash and his friends watch in awe. Morty tells them that encountering Ho-Oh is a rare and special event and they have been truly lucky.

After the ceremony, Ash and his friends say goodbye to Morty and continue their journey to Johto, feeling inspired and excited for the adventures that lay ahead.
