Ep 6. Hello Pummelo
In the sixth episode of season three of Pokemon, Ash and his friends arrive on the scenic Pummelo Island, which is known for being the location of the legendary Orange League. The Orange League is a special Pokemon league that can only be challenged by trainers who have proven their skills by capturing a set of four Gym Badges from various islands in the Orange Archipelago.
Upon arriving on Pummelo Island, Ash and his friends meet a cheerful old man named Professor Ivy, who informs them that they have arrived at the perfect time to witness the Orange League's opening ceremony. The ceremony involves a traditional parade, during which the Gym Leaders of the Orange League are introduced to the crowd.
During the parade, Ash and his friends discover that Pikachu has disappeared, and they quickly split up to search for him. While searching, Ash meets the Orange Crew's leader, Drake, and learns that he will be the first Gym Leader Ash will face in the Orange League.
After a long search, Ash finally finds Pikachu with the help of Ivy's assistant, Tracey. Pikachu had wandered off into a beautiful orchard of Pummelo trees, which produce fruit that is said to be the sweetest in the world. While they are there, they are greeted by Drake's younger sister, who warns them that the Pummelo trees are off-limits to visitors.
Despite the warning, Ash decides to taste one of the Pummelos, only to find out that they taste terrible. He soon discovers that the Pummelo trees have been infected with a strange disease that has caused the fruit to become sour and tasteless.
Ash and his friends decide to help Drake and his family cure the Pummelo trees of the infection. With Tracey's knowledge of medicine, Brock's knowledge of botany, and Ash and Pikachu's agility and strength, they work together to find a cure.
They eventually discover that the infection came from a wild group of Muk, which had been attracted to the Pummelo trees by their sweet scent. Ash and his friends are able to fend off the Muk and cure the Pummelo trees, which return to their original sweetness and beauty.
In the end, Ash challenges Drake to a Gym Battle, which Drake agrees to after seeing the perseverance and teamwork of Ash and his friends. The episode ends with Ash and Drake preparing for their epic battle, which will determine Ash's fate in the Orange League.
