Ep 36. Good 'Quil Hunting

In the episode "Good 'Quil Hunting," Ash and his friends are on their way to Mahogany Town when they encounter a Quilfish blocking their path. Quilfish is a spiky Water-type Pokémon known for its powerful Poison Sting attack. Ash wants to catch it, but the Quilfish refuses to cooperate.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket is also on the move, but they have another goal in mind. They plan to steal a rare and valuable Pokémon known as the Slowking, which is rumored to live in a nearby lake. Slowking is a Psychic/Water type Pokémon and is known for its intelligence and unique appearance.

Back to Ash and his friends, Ash tries to catch the Quilfish, but it jumps into the river and swims away. Ash and Pikachu dive in after it, but they soon realize they are heading towards a dangerous waterfall. Thankfully, a local fisherman named Kurt saves them and brings them to his home. Kurt is an expert in creating special Poké Balls known as Apricorn Balls, which he makes from the Apricorns that grow in the surrounding forest. He teaches Ash and his friends how to make the balls in exchange for their help in finding an Apricorn for him.

While searching for an Apricorn, Ash and his friends come across a giant Slowbro. Slowbro is a Water/Psychic type Pokémon, and is known for its incredible strength and durability. They soon realize that this Slowbro is actually part of a local legend, known as the guardian of a hidden island where the powerful Slowking is said to reside. Ash and his friends decide to investigate the island and see if they can find Slowking.

When they arrive on the island, they encounter Team Rocket, who are also searching for Slowking. Jessie and James, along with their talking Meowth, try to use their usual tricks to capture the Pokémon, but their plans are foiled by Ash and his friends.

Eventually, Ash and his friends come face to face with Slowking. Slowking is a wise and powerful Pokémon, and after a battle, Ash and his friends gain its trust. They also learn that Slowking has the power to communicate with other Pokémon, and it helps them locate the missing Quilfish.

With the help of Slowking and Kurt, Ash and his friends finally catch the Quilfish and continue on their journey. Team Rocket is left behind, defeated once again. As they leave the island, Ash and his friends reflect on the valuable lessons they learned on their adventure. They leave with a newfound appreciation for the power and community of all Pokémon, no matter how big or small.
