Ep 28. The One That Didn't Get Away!

Ash and his friends are on their way to the Vermilion City to watch an annual fishing competition. As they arrive, they meet a young boy named Kai, who has been trying to catch a Gyarados for years. Kai is mocked by the other participants because of his lack of success in previous competitions.

On the day of the competition, Ash and his friends cheer Kai as he tries his luck once again. As they watch, they see a strange figure lurking in the water. When Kai sees it too, he becomes determined to catch this mysterious Pokemon.

The competition begins, and everyone is trying their best to catch the biggest fish. Ash, Pikachu, and the rest of the gang are amazed at the different techniques used by each participant. However, they notice that Kai's fishing technique is quite different from the others.

Suddenly, Kai's fishing rod starts shaking vigorously. He quickly pulls it out of the water and sees that he has hooked the mysterious Pokemon he saw earlier. The Pokemon seems strong and Kai becomes worried that he won't be able to catch it. But he is determined and continues to fight with it.

The battle becomes intense as the mysterious Pokemon reveals itself to be a Sharpedo. Kai must use all of his skills and strategy to outsmart the Sharpedo and catch it. His persistence and determination eventually pay off, and he finally catches the Sharpedo.

After the competition, Ash and his friends congratulate Kai on his success. They are amazed at his skill and determination. Kai reveals that he never gave up because he knew that one day, he would catch the Pokemon that didn't get away.
