Ep 14. Getting to Know You!
Ash and his friends arrive at Novae City, the next stop of their Alolan adventure. They are excited to participate in the annual Alolan Pancake Race, but there's a catch - each team must include a Pokemon they haven't used before. Ash and his friends realize they don't know their Pokemon as well as they thought they did and set out to learn more about them.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket has their eyes set on stealing the recipe for the famous Alolan pancakes. They devise a plan to infiltrate the local pancake restaurant, but they are quickly foiled by Ash's quick thinking.
As the day of the race approaches, Ash and his friends learn valuable lessons about their Pokemon. Lillie and Snowy bond over their shared fear of heights, while Lana and Popplio work on perfecting their water balloon skills. Meanwhile, Pikachu tries to learn how to work with Lycanroc's unique battle style.
On the day of the race, Ash and his team face off against tough competition from other Trainers, including a team led by Hapu, the daughter of the recently retired kahuna of Poni Island. Despite fierce competition, Ash and his friends work together with their Pokemon and make it to the final round.
In the final race, Ash and his team face off against Hapu and her Sandshrew. It's a close race, but Ash's Pikachu and Lycanroc work together to overcome Sandshrew's sandstorm attack and cross the finish line first. The crowd cheers as Ash and his team are awarded the grand prize - a year's supply of Alolan pancakes.
As the episode comes to a close, Ash and his friends reflect on the lessons they learned about their Pokemon and the importance of getting to know them on a deeper level. With the Alolan adventure continuing, Ash and his friends are excited for the many more Pokemon they will meet and train with along the way.
