Ep 21. A Pokevision of Things to Come
- 21 min
As Ash and the gang head towards the Cyllage City gym, they discover a new mobile app called Pokevision that allows trainers to track down nearby Pokemon. At first, the gang is ecstatic about the prospect of easily finding and catching Pokemon, but quickly realize the downsides of relying on technology to do the work for them.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket also discovers the app and sees its potential for capturing rare Pokemon without doing any actual work. They devise a plan to lure unsuspecting trainers into a trap by offering them a chance to catch a rare Pokemon through the app.
Ash and his friends begin to see the negative effects of Pokevision when they become reliant on it and miss out on the true joy of exploring and discovering new Pokemon on their own. In a heart-to-heart conversation with Serena, Ash realizes that relying too heavily on technology can take away from the true essence of being a Pokemon trainer.
When Team Rocket's plan is set into motion, Ash and his friends race to save the trapped trainers and their Pokemon. With the help of their own Pokemon and their instinctual training skills, they are able to outsmart Team Rocket and teach them a lesson about the value of true Pokemon training.
In the end, the gang decides to delete the Pokevision app and promises to rely on their own skills and instincts to catch Pokemon in the future. The episode serves as a reminder that while technology can be helpful, it's important to not rely on it too heavily and to appreciate the journey of Pokemon training.
