Ep 17. Scraggy-Hatched to be Wild!

Ash and his friends are on their journey to Nimbasa City for Ash's Gym battle with Elesa. As they walk through a dense forest, they come across a group of wild Pokemon playing around. They decide to take a short break and watch the Pokemon play.

As they watch, a Scraggy hatches from an egg just in front of them. The Scraggy seems disoriented and confused, having just hatched and not knowing what to do next. The group decides to help the Scraggy and take it with them on their journey.

As they continue their journey, they come across a group of Trainers who are competing in a tournament to catch the strongest wild Pokemon in the area. The tournament is headed by a Trainer named Oscar, who is a bit of a jerk and often cheats during battles.

Ash and his friends decide to watch the tournament, and they notice that Oscar is using a Scraggy that he caught earlier in the forest. Ash and his friends recognize the Scraggy as the same one they helped earlier, and they become worried that Oscar may be mistreating the Pokemon.

As the tournament begins, Oscar's Scraggy battles against a powerful wild Pokemon, but Oscar is cheating and using underhanded tactics during the battle. The wild Pokemon becomes enraged and starts attacking Oscar and his Scraggy.

Ash and his friends intervene and save Oscar and his Scraggy from the wild Pokemon. They explain to Oscar that true strength comes from treating your Pokemon with love and respect, not from cheating. Oscar realizes the error of his ways and decides to change his approach to battles.

As the tournament continues, Ash and his friends come across another wild Pokemon, a Foongus. The Foongus seems to be in distress, and they quickly realize that it has been poisoned. They decide to help the Foongus and take it to a nearby Pokemon Center for treatment.

At the Pokemon Center, Nurse Joy informs them that the Foongus has been poisoned by a rare and deadly toxin that is only found in a particular part of the forest. Ash and his friends decide to investigate and try to find the source of the toxin.

As they venture deeper into the forest, they come across a group of Trainers who are using a powerful new type of Poke Ball to catch wild Pokemon. The Poke Balls have been infused with the rare and deadly toxin, which is making the captured Pokemon sick and weak.

Ash and his friends confront the Trainers and convince them that their methods are not ethical. They explain that the poison is hurting the wild Pokemon and that they should rely on their own strength and skills to catch Pokemon, not on a toxic Poke Ball.

The Trainers agree with Ash and his friends and decide to stop using the toxic Poke Balls. Ash and his friends help the Trainers release the captured Pokemon and the wild Pokemon in the area are finally at peace.

As the episode comes to a close, Ash and his friends continue on their journey to Nimbasa City, with a new member of their team, the Scraggy that they helped hatch earlier in the episode. They are excited to compete in Ash's Gym battle with Elesa, and they know that their Pokemon will be ready to face any challenge that comes their way.
