Ep 7. Luxray Vision

Ash, Dawn, and Brock have finally arrived at the Pokemon Contest in Hearthome City. Excited to begin, they walk through the city streets, only to come across an unusual scene. A Luxray seems to be using some kind of strange power, causing several buildings to flicker on and off like a light bulb.

Our heroes soon learn that this is no ordinary Luxray. Ash's Pokedex explains that this Luxray has the ability to see through solid objects, which is what's causing the strange phenomenon. The Luxray belongs to a young girl named Angie, who is training to become a Pokemon Coordinator just like Dawn.

Despite her inexperience, Angie is determined to win the Hearthome Contest with her Luxray's unique ability. She shows Ash and the others her training techniques, which involve using holographic walls to simulate real contest conditions. However, her training methods aren't working as well as she'd hoped, and she's feeling discouraged.

But their attempts to capture Luxray are thwarted by Ash and his friends, who eventually drive them away.

As the day of the contest arrives, Angie and Luxray are set to compete against Dawn and her Piplup. The two coordinators' performances are impressive, but it's Luxray's ability that steals the show. Luxray's X-ray vision proves to be too much for Piplup, and Angie and Luxray emerge victorious.

After the contest, Ash and his friends congratulate Angie on her win. They all agree that the unique abilities of Pokemon can be a valuable asset in competition, but it's the bond between the trainer and their Pokemon that ultimately makes the difference.
