Ep 42. The Electrike Company

  • TV-Y7

Ash and his friends finally reach Mauville City, where they hear about a new company that's generating electricity in an innovative way. The company uses electric-type Pokémon, specifically, Electrike and Manectric, to harness their power.

Curious, Ash and his friends go to visit the Electrike Company to learn more about this unique electricity generating operation. But when they arrive, the city is in chaos. The power has gone out, and the Electrike Company's generators are not working.

As they investigate the cause of the power outage, they meet an old man who reveals that he was once the engineer for the electricity-generating operation. He tells them that he built the electri-generators by himself, but now, the company's new boss has implemented new technology that he doesn't understand.

The team soon meets the boss of the Electrike Company. He is a young man named Wattson, who inherited the company from his father. It's clear that Wattson is stressed and under a lot of pressure to get the power back online. He tells the team that he implemented new technology to improve the generators, but something has gone wrong, and he doesn't know how to fix it.

Ash offers to help Wattson get to the bottom of the problem. Together, they investigate the generators, and Ash realizes that the problem might be with the new technology that Wattson implemented.

As they work to fix the problem, Ash discovers that the Electrike Company's Pokémon, including the Electrike and Manectric, are suffering from the increased workload. The Pokémon (particularly the Electrike) are overworked and exhausted, and it's clear that they need help.

Ash comes up with a plan to give the Pokémon a break. He and his friends gather some berries from the nearby forest and use them to make a restorative drink for the Pokémon. They also set up a special area inside the plant where the Pokémon can rest and recharge.

Thanks to Ash's help, Wattson recognizes that the new technology he implemented was causing the power issues and the exhaustion of the Pokémon. He decides to go back to the original design, which was more effective and better for the Pokémon.

With the help of the restorative drink and the special resting area, the Pokémon recover, and the power comes back online. The city is grateful for Ash's help in fixing the problem, and Wattson recognizes that he needs to return to the old ways of doing things that worked better for everyone, especially the Pokémon.

At the end of the episode, Ash and his friends say goodbye to Wattson and his team. They continue on their journey to the next town, knowing that they had made a difference, even if it was just a small one.
