Ep 38. One Big Happiny Family

  • TV-Y7

Ash, Pikachu, and their friends have arrived at a Pokémon Center that also serves as a Daycare Center for Pokémon. Inside, they meet a young girl named Kimmy who is also a Pokémon Breeder. Kimmy is struggling to take care of all the orphaned Pokémon at the daycare with just one assistant. Ash and his friends agree to help her out by taking care of the Pokémon.

The group quickly discovers that one particular Pokémon, a Happiny, is causing a lot of trouble. Happiny is always getting into mischief and accidentally breaking things. But despite its tendencies, Happiny is very affectionate and loves to help out around the daycare.

As the group continues to take care of the Pokémon, they also learn more about Kimmy's backstory. She initially became a Pokémon Breeder to follow in her grandmother's footsteps. However, her grandmother recently passed away, leaving her the daycare and a difficult task of taking care of all of the Pokémon on her own.

With the help of Ash and his friends, Kimmy is able to manage the daycare while also trying to find permanent homes for all of the orphaned Pokémon. They also work together to try and teach Happiny better manners and how to control its strength.

Throughout the episode, there are heartwarming moments between the Pokémon and their caretakers. One scene in particular shows a baby Pichu bonding with Ash's Pikachu and learning how to use Thunderbolt.

As the day goes on, Kimmy receives a phone call from a woman who is interested in adopting Happiny. While initially excited, Kimmy begins to feel sad at the thought of Happiny leaving. She confides in Ash and his friends, who help her realize that Happiny will be happy in its new home and that she can still visit it.

In the end, Happiny says goodbye to its friends at the daycare and goes to live with its new owner. Kimmy is left feeling sad but grateful for the help that Ash and his friends provided. The group leaves the daycare with a newfound appreciation for the hard work that Pokémon Breeders do and a deeper understanding of the bond between humans and Pokémon.
