Ep 13. A Staravia Is Born

Ash and his friends continue their journey towards Hearthome City, and they come across a Flying Pokemon Training Center. Ash decides to train his Starly there in order to strengthen it. The training center is run by a woman named Wilma who puts Ash and his friends to work.

While training at the center, Team Rocket arrives to steal the Flying Pokemon at the center. During the chaos, Ash's Starly is injured and unable to fly. Wilma suggests that instead of quitting on Starly, he should obtain a replacement flying Pokemon in the meantime and train it to bring out its potential.

Ash takes Wilma's advice and starts training a wild Staravia he finds in the forest. Together, Ash and Staravia go through rigorous training to build up their teamwork and trust. In the meantime, Jessie and James decide to catch a Staravia of their own and one-up Ash once again.

Eventually, after hard work and dedication, Ash's Staravia evolves during the climax of the episode. With its newfound power, it assists Ash in a battle against Team Rocket. In the end, Ash and his friends say goodbye to Wilma and continue their journey towards Hearthome City, with a new and improved flying Pokemon on their team.
