Ep 49. The Case of the K-9 Caper!
Ash, Misty, and Brock are traveling through the forest when they come across a police officer who is searching for a missing Growlithe. The officer explains that the Growlithe is a police dog and is extremely important to their force. The officer allows the trio to help with the search.
While searching, they come across a gang of poachers who are capturing Pokemon to sell. The poachers have captured the missing Growlithe and plan to sell it. Ash and his friends try to rescue the Growlithe but are caught by the poachers. They manage to escape and rescue the Growlithe, but the poachers chase after them.
The group takes refuge in a cave, but the poachers surround them. The Growlithe uses its police training to help fight off the poachers, and the police officer arrives just in time to arrest them. The Growlithe is reunited with its grateful owner, and Ash and his friends continue on their journey.
In the end, they learn the importance of protecting Pokemon and why they should never be used for illegal activities.
