Ep 33. The Kangaskhan Kid
Ash and his friends arrive at a small, isolated town where they meet a young boy named Tommy, who has a group of Kangaskhan friends, including a small baby Kangaskhan. The boy tells them that his father is missing and he's afraid that his father may have been abducted by Team Rocket. Ash and his friends decide to help Tommy search for his father and set out into the wilderness. Along the way, they face many challenges, including rugged terrain and fierce Pokemon battles.
As they continue their search, they come across a research facility where they discover that Tommy's father, Dr. Kangaskhan, was conducting research on the Kangaskhan species. However, they're unable to locate him. While at the facility, they come across a group of Team Rocket members who are conducting their own research on Kangaskhan, and who are also looking for Dr. Kangaskhan. A battle ensues, and Ash and his friends successfully fend them off.
Eventually, the search leads them to a cave where they find the missing Dr. Kangaskhan, who is being held captive by a group of wild Pokemon called the Spearow gang. Ash and his friends manage to rescue him and as a result, the Spearow gang is disbanded. It is revealed that the reason the Spearow gang took Dr. Kangaskhan captive was because they believed that he was trying to harm the Kangaskhan, which they considered to be their friends.
With Dr. Kangaskhan rescued, the group is able to return to the town, where they are greeted as heroes. The villagers are overjoyed to see Tommy reunited with his father, and they thank Ash and his friends for their help. In the end, Tommy decides to stay with his Kangaskhan friends, as they are the only family he has ever known. Ash and his friends bid him farewell and continue on their journey.
