Ep 31. The Ninja Poke-Showdown

Ash, Misty, and Brock are traveling to Fuchsia City when they stumble upon a group of ninjas battling it out. Intrigued, the group decides to watch and quickly discovers that one of the ninjas has a Pidgeotto that’s been hypnotized by a top secret ninja organization, who is using the Pokémon to do their bidding.

As the group tries to gather more information about the organization, they run into a fellow trainer named Aya who tells them about Fuchsia City’s Gym, which is owned by Koga, a ninja who’s known for his impressive fighting skills. Aya also warns them about the hypnotized Pidgeotto, saying that the organization will stop at nothing to get their hands on the Pokémon.

Determined to help the Pidgeotto, Ash challenges Koga to a battle. In the meantime, Team Rocket has been eavesdropping on the group’s conversation and also decides to go after the Pidgeotto.

As Ash and Koga face off, the hypnotized Pidgeotto is forced to battle. In the heat of the moment, Ash realizes that the only way to help Pidgeotto is to break the hypnotic spell by causing it to use its Gust attack. Although Pidgeotto is severely injured, the spell is broken and the organization is forced to flee.

With Pidgeotto’s help, the group tracks down the organization’s hiding place and puts an end to their evil plans, all while facing off against Koga’s team of powerful ninja Pokémon.

In the end, Ash is awarded the Soul Badge for defeating Koga in battle, and the group sets off towards their next adventure.
