As they explore the town, they come across a familiar face from their past - none other than Zoey, the skilled Pokemon coordinator who had competed alongside Dawn in the past.
Zoey reveals that she is entering the competition and invites Dawn to join her as her partner. Despite her initial hesitation, Dawn agrees to participate and the two friends begin preparing for the competition together. As they train alongside each other, they learn more about each other's Pokemon and grow stronger together.
As the day of the competition arrives, the group is excited to see what challenges await them.
