As they investigate the train, Ash and his friends discover that Hoopa's true motive is to retrieve a powerful artifact that has been sealed away on the train. The artifact, known as the Eternal Flame, has the power to grant any Pokemon eternal life and Hoopa is desperate to get its hands on it.
With the help of their Pokemon, Ash and his friends engage in a battle with Hoopa to protect the Eternal Flame and stop it from falling into the wrong hands. Along the way, they learn about the history of the artifact and the importance of protecting powerful objects such as these.
The episode ends with Ash and his friends successfully defeating Hoopa and returning the stolen belongings to their rightful owners. The train ride may have been a bit more eventful than they had anticipated, but Ash and his friends were glad to have been a part of the adventure.
