Ep 6. Octillery, The Outcast

Ash, Misty, and Brock are still travelling through the Johto region and have arrived in a small town where they hear rumors of a local Pokemon that has been causing trouble. The Pokemon in question is an Octillery who has been scaring the local fishermen away from their usual fishing spots.

The trio decides to investigate and head down to the docks where they meet a fisherman who tells them the story of the Octillery. Apparently, the Octillery used to live in the nearby ocean until a group of Tentacool chased it away. Since then, it has been living in the harbor, where it scares off any fisherman who try to cast their lines.

Ash and his companions decide to try and help the Octillery, but they soon realize that it won't be easy. The Octillery is very defensive and won't let anyone get close to it. In fact, it even attacks Ash's Pikachu when it tries to approach it.

However, they soon learn that there is a reason for the Octillery's behavior. One day, while fishing, the Octillery accidentally hooked a Remoraid and pulled it out of the water. The Remoraid was injured and seemed to be dying, so the Octillery took it in and nursed it back to health.

Since then, the Remoraid has been living with the Octillery, and the two have become inseparable. The problem is, the Remoraid is unable to swim on its own because of its injuries, so the Octillery has been stuck in the harbor in order to take care of it.

When Team Rocket shows up, the Octillery becomes even more defensive, and the situation looks like it could turn into a battle. However, the Remoraid, recognizing that Team Rocket is a threat, manages to find the strength to swim out to the ocean and call for help.

A group of Dewgong, led by a kind-hearted nurse Joy, arrive on the scene and help to heal the Remoraid's injuries, allowing it to swim on its own once again. With the Remoraid no longer needing its constant care, the Octillery is finally able to return to the ocean where it belongs, and the fishermen are able to return to their usual fishing spots.

In the end, the trio say their goodbyes to the Octillery, happy to have been able to help it and its friend. They continue on their journey, eager to see what other adventures await them in the Johto region.
