Ep 59. Tie One On!

Ash and his friends are on their way to Olivine City to obtain their next gym badge when they stumble upon a town festival. The festival is centered around a tradition called the Tethering Ceremony where trainers tie their Pokémon to hot air balloons and send them up into the sky. Ash and his friends watch in awe as the beautiful sight fills the sky. However, a group of Team Rocket members unexpectedly interrupts the ceremony and tries to steal all of the Pokémon.

Ash and his friends realize that Team Rocket's plan is to tie all of the stolen Pokémon to a single balloon and steal them away. While Pikachu and Togepi try to free the captured Pokémon, Ash and his friends attempt to stop Team Rocket. During the chaos, Pikachu and Togepi get tied to the same balloon as the stolen Pokémon, and the group ends up getting tangled in a large tree.

The mayor of the town, who is also a skilled Hot Air Balloonist, comes to their rescue by using his own balloon to lift them out of the tree. Ash and his friends explain the situation to him, and he agrees to help. He uses his balloon to fly high into the sky to reach the balloon with the stolen Pokémon, and successfully detaches it from the Team Rocket balloon. This leads to the stolen Pokémon safely floating back down to the ground with the mayor's balloon.

However, the balloon carrying Team Rocket, Pikachu, and Togepi is still flying high in the sky. Pikachu and Togepi use their electrical attacks to pop the balloon and fall towards the ground. Ash and his friends fear the worst, but luckily the mayor and his balloon come to their rescue again and safely catch them before they hit the ground.

Team Rocket is eventually arrested, and the festival continues as planned with the completion of the Tethering Ceremony. Ash and his friends continue on their journey to Olivine City, each knowing the importance of sticking together and helping one another in times of need.
