Ep 5. Mantine Overboard

In Pokemon the Series season 5 episode 5, titled "Mantine Overboard", Ash and his friends stumble upon a ship that has crashed on the shore of a desert island. Upon closer inspection, they find out that the ship belongs to a traveling circus troupe, who were on their way to the next town to perform.

The group decides to help the troupe and offers their assistance in getting their ship back up and running. As they work together to repair the ship, they discover a Mantine that had been trapped in the wreckage of the ship. The Mantine had been injured and was unable to fly. The troupe had been carrying the Mantine with them as part of their circus act.

Ash and his friends take the Mantine under their care and try to nurse it back to health. They soon discover that the Mantine was not injured, but was actually exhausted from being forced to perform in the circus shows day after day. Upon realizing this, Ash and his friends decide to help the Mantine escape from the cruel treatment of the circus troupe.

The group's task is not an easy one as they face resistance from the troupe's ringleader, who is angry at the group for trying to take away their star attraction. Meanwhile, Team Rocket also appears, trying to capture the Mantine for their own gain.

In the end, Ash and his friends succeed in their mission to save the Mantine and free it from the exploitative circus life. The Mantine is released back into the wild where it is free to swim and fly as it pleases.

The episode ends with the group reflecting on the mistreatment of Pokemon in the entertainment industry and how they must continue to fight against such practices.
