Ep 48. Lapras of Luxury

Ash and his friends are on a ship, headed towards the Whirl Islands. As they journey, they come across a school of Lapras, one of which is injured. Ash and his friends take care of the wounded Lapras, and soon discover that there is a Lapras sanctuary nearby. They visit the sanctuary and meet the kind old man who takes care of the Lapras.

The old man tells Ash and his friends that he's trying to protect the Lapras from a group of poachers who want to sell them off to make a profit. The poachers come to the sanctuary, but Ash and his friends manage to foil their plan.

Soon after, Ash and his friends meet a girl named Melody who plays a strange instrument, which makes the Lapras come to her. She invites them to her grandpa's place where they met her grandpa. Melody's grandpa tells him about the legendary Silver Wing in the Whirl Islands. Ash and his friends are determined to find it, so they set off on their journey.

As they journey, the Lapras take care of them, and they learn a lot about these wonderful creatures. However, danger is lurking around the corner, as the poachers are still on their trail. The poachers' plan to capture the Lapras is soon foiled by Ash and his friends, but they come across greater danger as they approach the Silver Wing.

A group of Tentacruel attack them, and the Lapras are captured by a giant Tentacruel. Ash and his friends must work together to rescue the Lapras and find the Silver Wing. They finally find the Silver Wing and uncover its secret, and return to the Lapras sanctuary. Later that day, they have a big party with the Lapras as a celebration for a job well done.

The episode ends with Ash and his friends heading towards Olivine City, where they plan to battle for their last Johto gym badge.
