Ep 41. The Fortune Hunters

Ash, Misty, and Brock are continuing their journey through the Johto region when they meet a fortune teller named Madame Muchmoney who warns them about strange happenings in a nearby town. They arrive to find that the town has been taken over by a trio of con artists who trick the townspeople into believing that they can increase their wealth and fortune. The trio, calling themselves the "Fortune Hunters," use their Pokémon to stage fake battles and create a false sense of security to lure in unsuspecting customers.

The group is initially skeptical but becomes more interested in the situation when they learn that the Fortune Hunters have taken one of their fellow travelers, an aspiring young trainer named Tamao, under their wing. The group decides to investigate further and uncover the Fortune Hunters' true motives, which leads them to a hidden base where they are finally able to take them on in a battle.

The confrontation proves to be a difficult one, as the Fortune Hunters have some of the most skilled and powerful Pokémon that the group has yet encountered. However, through strategic planning and teamwork, Ash and his friends are able to come out on top, freeing Tamao and putting an end to the trio's schemes. Madame Muchmoney appears once again to thank the group for their help and offer a glimpse into their future, which promises many more adventures and challenges to come.
