Ash and his friends arrive in a new town and decide to participate in a Battle Frontier tournament. When they get there, they meet a group of researchers who have developed a new technology that allows people to enter and experience virtual reality. Ash and his friends are intrigued and decide to give it a try. They soon discover that things are not as they seem in the virtual world and must use their skills to uncover the truth behind the technology.
