Ep 13. Let Sleeping Pok?mon Lie!

Ash and the gang reach Cerulean City and visit the gym. Misty, the gym leader, welcomes them and they catch up on each other's journey. Misty informs them of a problem that has been occurring in the city with electricity and blames it on her Gyarados. Ash and Pikachu offer to help her and follow her to a nearby power plant.

Once there, they discover that some of the Pokémon in the area are sleeping soundly near some power lines. Misty suspects that her Gyarados may have caused this, but Ash and Pikachu notice that there are many other Pokémon from different areas that are also sleeping. Rotom Dex scans the area and discovers that there is a powerful energy field emanating from a nearby cave and it is causing the Pokémon to sleep.

Misty decides to check out the cave and Ash and the gang follow her. Deep inside the cave, they discover a group of sleeping Jigglypuff and a Lunatone controlling the energy waves that are causing the Pokémon to sleep. They notice a Solrock next to the Lunatone and conclude that the Solrock is responsible for keeping the Lunatone asleep and stopping it from spreading its energy waves.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket also follows Ash and the gang and overhears their plan to capture the Solrock. They decide to capture it themselves and use its power for their own evil purposes. They sneak up to the sleeping Solrock and attempt to catch it, but they are caught by Misty and the gang.

As they attempt to escape, they accidentally wake up the Lunatone, which starts to emit powerful energy waves that put everyone to sleep. The only one left awake is Ash's Lycanroc, who fights against the waves and manages to stay awake. Lycanroc then wakes up Pikachu, and together they manage to wake up the rest of their friends.

With everyone awake, they come up with a plan to catch the Lunatone and stop the energy waves. Ash sends out his Rowlet and has it carry a Berry to the Lunatone, which wakes it up and stops the energy waves. Misty catches the Lunatone, and Ash and Pikachu catch the Solrock.

After the incident, Misty realizes that her Gyarados was not responsible for the power outages and apologizes. Ash and the gang bid goodbye to Misty and head off to their next adventure.
