Ep 44. Purrloin: Sweet or Sneaky?

Ash and his friends are traversing a forest. In the meantime, they stumble upon a group of Purrloin. These Purrloin are different from others as they possess a unique skill. They have the power to use their cute eyes to manipulate anyone or make them fall asleep. The group of Purrloin makes Ash's friends and their Pokemon fall asleep. In that state, they start losing their belongings. It is revealed that the Purrloin had stolen their stuff.

Ash and his gang wake up to find their stuff missing. They start looking for it and encounter a girl who also had her backpack stolen. The girl tells them that the Purrloin who resides in the forest took her backpack. Hearing about the Purrloin, Ash and his friends realize that they were robbed by the same group of Purrloin.

The girl guides them to a hidden castle in the forest. There, they come face to face with Team Rocket. Jessie and James reveal that they have been helping the Purrloin in exchange for money. They also reveal that the Purrloin had promised to help them become rich. They planned to use the stolen items to make some quick cash.

The Purrloin who had stolen from Ash and his friends were the same ones they had helped earlier in the episode. The Purrloin help Ash and his friends get back their belongings. They reveal that they stole the stuff to help their king, who was sick. The king had a sweet tooth, and the Purrloin needed money to buy him a rare candy to heal him.

Ash and his friends agree to help the Purrloin and go on a quest to find the rare candy. They encounter several obstacles on the way, such as crossing a river and battling other Pokemon. Finally, they reach a store that sells the rare candy. However, they find out that they can only buy it by bidding in an auction.

Jessie and James also arrive at the auction to make a quick buck. Ash, Pikachu, and their new Purrloin friends team up to win the auction and secure the rare candy for the Purrloin king. After winning the auction, they hurry back to the Purrloin Castle.

Upon reaching the Castle, the Purrloin feed the sick king the rare candy. The king's health immediately improves, and he wakes up from his sleep feeling much better. The episode ends with the Purrloin thanking Ash and his friends for their help. They also reveal that they plan to live an honest life from now onwards. Ash and his friends bid farewell to their new friends and continue their journey.
