Ep 19. A Connoisseurer's Revenge!

Ash and the gang have traveled to Ambiga Town, the home of the annual Ambiga Connoisseur's competition. As they explore the town, they learn that the competition is a big deal and attracts the best Connoisseurs from around the world to judge the finest Pokemon.

As they continue their exploration, they come across a group of Connoisseurs who are bickering amongst themselves. One of the Connoisseurs, Burgundy, recognizes Cilan as a fellow Connoisseur and challenges him to a battle. The gang is surprised to learn that Cilan is a Connoisseur, as he usually focuses on being a Gym Leader.

The battle between Cilan and Burgundy is intense, with both using their knowledge of Pokemon and their tasting skills to outsmart each other. However, Cilan ultimately wins the battle, impressing everyone around him.

After the battle, Cilan's former mentor, who he has not seen in years, arrives in town for the competition. His mentor, Morana, is a renowned Connoisseur who has never lost a competition. Despite their past disagreements, Cilan is excited to see his old mentor and wants to learn from her once again.

However, Morana has other plans. She is bitter towards Cilan, as she saw potential in him but felt he gave up on his Connoisseur training to become a Gym Leader instead. She challenges him to a battle, determined to teach him a lesson.

During the battle, Morana reveals that she has been using a powerful and rare Pokemon, a Sawsbuck with the ability to change its form based on the season. Cilan is impressed by Sawsbuck's strength and beauty, but soon realizes that something is not right. The Sawsbuck seems to be in pain and is not enjoying the battle.

Cilan decides to forfeit the battle and confront Morana about her treatment of Sawsbuck. Morana reveals that she was using Sawsbuck to win competitions and gain fame, without truly considering the Pokemon's well-being. Cilan and Ash team up to heal Sawsbuck and help it to enjoy battling again.

Eventually, Sawsbuck is able to return to its natural state and Morana realizes the error of her ways. She apologizes to Cilan and the gang, and decides to retire from Connoisseur competitions to focus on taking care of her Pokemon.

The episode ends with the Ambiga Connoisseur competition starting, with Cilan and Burgundy among the judges. The gang watches as the Connoisseurs show off their skills and knowledge, but they all agree that the most important thing is treating Pokemon with care and respect.
