Ep 22. Borrowing on Bad Faith

Determined to retrieve the scroll, Ash along with Dawn, Brock, and Maya set out to find the thieves. They eventually track them down to a nearby cave where they find the scroll and Lucario himself, who was in a deep sleep inside the cave.

Lucario, when awakened, turns out to be quite surly and unwilling to interact with the group. Nonetheless, he agrees to help them retrieve the stolen equipment as the thieves were planning to use it for some evil purposes.

Lucario’s training and experience come in handy as the group battles their way through the thieves’ hideout to retrieve the stolen equipment. However, during the process, Lucario gets injured, which leaves the group worried. But Ash’s kind gesture of offering his hand to Lucario and thanking him for his help restores Lucario’s faith in Ash, and he heals quickly.

After the successful retrieval of the equipment, the group bids farewell to Maya and Lucario, who now seemed more at peace and content. Ash prepares himself for the much-awaited rematch with Maylene and heads off to the gym, with renewed confidence and vigor.
