In Plebs season 4 episode 5 titled "Lupercalia," our favorite trio of plebs - Marcus, Stylax, and Grumio - are back with another hilarious adventure set in ancient Rome. The episode follows the boys as they prepare for the annual Lupercalia festival, a time when young men run around the city naked and whip women with the hides of sacrificed goats (yes, you read that right).
As always, Marcus is eager to find a girl to impress, while Stylax is more interested in getting drunk and having a good time. Grumio, on the other hand, is preoccupied with his own culinary creations, including a potentially disastrous attempt at making truffles. Meanwhile, Aurelius, their landlord, is dealing with his own problems as he struggles to find a date for the festival.
The boys' preparations for Lupercalia are soon thrown off course when they accidentally steal a sacred goat intended for sacrifice. They are then pursued by a group of angry priests, all while trying to avoid being caught by the City Watch.
As chaos ensues, the boys find themselves in a variety of sticky situations, including hiding in a brothel and accidentally becoming gladiators. Throughout it all, the boys manage to keep their trademark wit and humor, making for a truly hilarious episode.
Overall, "Lupercalia" is a must-see episode for fans of Plebs. The combination of the boys' bumbling antics and the absurdity of the Lupercalia festival make for a perfect comedy of errors. The episode is both entertaining and side-splittingly funny, making it a standout in the series.
