The Weatherist is the eighth episode of the third season of the British sitcom, Plebs. Set in ancient Rome, the show follows the misadventures of three young and clueless Romans - Marcus, Stylax, and their slave, Grumio - as they stumble their way through life in the big city.
In this episode, the boys find themselves caught up in a fierce battle between two rival factions - the followers of the weather gods, and the newer, more scientific sect known as the Weatherists. The Weatherists believe they can predict and control the weather using mathematics and science, while the traditionalists insist that only the gods can decide the fate of the skies.
As the city prepares for a major festival, tensions escalate between the two groups, and Marcus, Stylax, and Grumio find themselves inadvertently caught in the middle. Not helping matters is the fact that Grumio has developed a crush on a young Weatherist priestess, while Marcus has his eye on a beautiful but temperamental traditionalist dancer.
With the festival fast approaching and the weather becoming increasingly unpredictable, the boys must decide which side to take - or risk getting caught in the crossfire. Along the way, they encounter a colourful cast of characters, including a bombastic Weatherist leader, a conniving traditionalist priest, and a phlegmatic centurion who just wants to soak in the hot springs.
Filled with the usual mix of slapstick, puns, and pop culture references, The Weatherist is a hilarious romp through ancient Rome that will keep viewers laughing from start to finish. Whether you're a fan of historical comedy, outrageous costumes, or just good old-fashioned buffoonery, Plebs season 3 episode 8 is definitely not to be missed.
