In PJ Masks season 1 episode 20, titled "Owlette of a Kind / Beat the Drum, Catboy," the trio of superheroes go on two new adventures in their efforts to keep their town safe from villains. The episode starts with Owlette discovering that Luna Girl has stolen her special bird whistle. Owlette uses this whistle to call her bird friends and help her out in tough situations. Now that Luna Girl has it, Owlette must come up with a plan to get it back. Gekko and Catboy come up with an idea to distract Luna Girl while Owlette sneaks in and takes the whistle back.

In the second adventure of the episode, the PJ Masks compete against each other in a game of "Beat the Drum" to determine who will be the leader of the team for the night. The competition is Catboy's idea, but it's clear from the beginning that he is very confident in his drumming skills. Owlette and Gekko both want to be leaders for the night and so they agree to play along with the game.

The episode starts with Owlette on her way to the top of the tower to practice her bird calls. She is interrupted by a distress signal from Catboy and Gekko. They tell her that they need her help to defeat Luna Girl who has been spotted stealing books from the library. Luna Girl is looking for a special book with information about constellations and Owlette knows that book is very valuable.

Owlette is worried that Luna Girl might catch her, but she decides to go anyway. She uses her power of invisibility and sneaks up on Luna Girl and her moths. She sees that Luna Girl has tied her special bird whistle to her moths and is making them fly around with it. Luna Girl and her moths are having too much fun with the whistle, but Owlette knows that if she doesn't recover it soon, Luna Girl might use it for something more sinister.

Gekko and Catboy come up with a plan to distract Luna Girl while Owlette sneaks in and takes the whistle back. They pretend to be arguing with each other and making a lot of noise, which makes Luna Girl come out of her hiding spot to investigate. While Luna Girl is distracted, Owlette sneaks in and grabs the whistle.

But their victory is short-lived as Luna Girl quickly notices that the whistle is missing. She starts to chase after the PJ Masks and her moths try to grab them. The PJ Masks use their powers to evade the moths and retreat to their headquarters. They come up with a plan to trick Luna Girl into thinking they don't have the whistle anymore. Luna Girl falls for their trick and leaves, but the PJ Masks know that they need to be careful in case she comes back.

The second adventure of the episode is a musical competition. Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko each take turns playing the drum to see who can create the best beat. Catboy goes first and plays a fast and energetic beat that everyone loves. Owlette goes next and tries to come up with unique bird sounds. Gekko is last and plays a slow, relaxing beat.

The judges are impressed by all the PJ Masks and say that it's a tie between Catboy and Owlette. But when they ask who should be the leader for the night, all three of them agree that they should work together as a team instead of having a leader. They realize that they all have unique talents and they work best when they use them all together.

PJ Masks season 1 episode 20, "Owlette of a Kind / Beat the Drum, Catboy," is a fun-filled episode that showcases the unique talents of each of the PJ Masks. From Owlette's bird calls to Catboy's drumming skills, the PJ Masks work together to save their town from villains and show that they are an unstoppable team.
