In the seventh episode of season one of Steven Spielberg Presents Pinky & the Brain, titled Napoleon Brainaparte, Pinky and The Brain devise a plan to rule the world by becoming the new emperor of France.

As the episode progresses, Brain becomes increasingly frustrated with his role as emperor and begins to miss his old life. He eventually comes to the realization that he was happiest when he was simply plotting to take over the world with Pinky.
In the end, Pinky and the Brain return to their laboratory, content with their failure to conquer France. Brain admits that he was wrong to chase after power and that all he really needs is Pinky by his side.
