Pinkalicious and Peterific is a kids' animated television series produced by WGBH Kids and based on the popular children's books by Victoria Kann. It follows the adventures of Pinkalicious and her little brother Peter as they explore their world with creativity, imagination, and a love for all things pink. In season 1 episode 6, titled "Plantastically Pink/Painting Pixie," Pinkalicious and Peter learn about the power of creativity and imagination as they discover new ways to bring color and magic to their lives.
In the first part of the episode, "Plantastically Pink," Pinkalicious is excited to participate in a gardening contest. She wants to create the most spectacular garden ever, but she doesn't know where to start. With the help of her friend Jasmine, Pinkalicious learns about the importance of planning, patience, and hard work when it comes to gardening. She also discovers that adding a touch of pink to her garden can make it extra special and beautiful. Together, Pinkalicious and Jasmine plant a variety of flowers, including pink tulips, pink peonies, and pink roses. They also add some fairy lights, butterflies, and a pink watering can to make the garden look even more magical. When the judges come to inspect the garden, Pinkalicious is nervous but happy with what she and Jasmine have accomplished. Will they win the contest and become the best gardeners in town?
In the second part of the episode, "Painting Pixie," Pinkalicious and Peter meet a mischievous pixie who loves to paint everything pink. The pixie magically appears in Pinkalicious' room one day and starts painting her toys, her clothes, and even her hair pink. Although Pinkalicious is thrilled with the pink transformation, Peter is not too happy about it. He thinks that the pixie is ruining his toys and making a mess. Pinkalicious tries to find a way to make everyone happy by asking the pixie to paint something that Peter likes. The pixie agrees to paint a toy boat green, but he accidentally paints it pink instead. Peter is disappointed at first, but then he realizes that the pink boat is actually pretty cool. He starts to appreciate the power of creativity and imagination, and joins Pinkalicious and the pixie in painting more things pink. Together, they create a dazzling pink castle, a pink race car, and even a pink airplane that can fly. But when the paint starts to run low, Pinkalicious and Peter have to figure out how to make more pink paint. They try mixing different colors, but nothing seems to work. Finally, they get a brilliant idea and make their own pink paint using some strawberries and water. The result is a magical pink color that they and the pixie can use to paint anything they want.
