Sorry Doctor, I Ain't Taking No Shots is the eighth episode of the seventh season of the classic American television show Petticoat Junction. In this episode, the residents of Hooterville become concerned about an outbreak of Asiatic flu in the nearby town of Selbyville. The public health department sends Dr. Hopewell, the county doctor, to vaccinate everyone in Hooterville against the flu.

However, when Dr. Hopewell arrives in Hooterville, he finds that many of the residents are reluctant to take the vaccine. Kate Bradley, the owner of the Shady Rest Hotel, is especially hesitant, as she does not trust vaccines and believes that her family's natural immunity will protect them. Kate's daughters, Billie Jo, Bobbie Jo, and Betty Jo, are also hesitant to take the vaccine.

As Dr. Hopewell tries to convince the Hooterville residents to take the vaccine, he is met with resistance and skepticism. Uncle Joe, the Shady Rest's resident con artist, tries to take advantage of the situation by selling fake vaccines to the residents. Meanwhile, Kate and her daughters try to find evidence to support their beliefs that natural immunity is superior to vaccines.

Throughout the episode, tensions rise as the Hooterville residents debate the pros and cons of vaccination. Dr. Hopewell becomes frustrated with their reluctance, and the residents become frustrated with his insistence. In the end, a twist of fate forces Kate and her daughters to reconsider their stance on vaccination, while Uncle Joe is exposed as a fraud.

Sorry Doctor, I Ain't Taking No Shots is a thought-provoking episode that explores the issues surrounding vaccination in a lighthearted and humorous way. It raises important questions about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines, while also highlighting the dangers of misinformation and deception. The episode's message about the importance of making informed decisions about healthcare is as relevant today as it was when the show originally aired over 50 years ago.
