Ep 4. Is There a Doctor in the Roundhouse?

Kate's uncle Joe Carson unexpectedly pays a visit to the Shady Rest Hotel and gets a huge surprise when he sees that the hotel is being run by his niece Kate Bradley and her daughters, instead of his nephew George. He quickly becomes a thorn in Kate's side, trying to control everything at the hotel, including the girls' social lives, until a medical emergency forces him to put his high-handed ways aside. When Kate's daughter Billie Jo gets into a severe accident on the train tracks while driving a fishing expedition with Uncle Joe, the group must work together to help her. Uncle Joe takes charge and negotiates with the railroad company to clear the train tracks in time; meanwhile, Dr. Janet Craig is called out of the Hooterville sanitarium to offer her medical expertise in saving Billie Jo. However, a series of mishaps puts Janet's medical competency to the test and puts Billie Jo's life in danger. With the train fast approaching, Uncle Joe and the gang desperately try to save Billie Jo with the clock ticking down.
