In the 13th episode of Person of Interest's third season, titled "4C," the machine dispenses a number to Finch and Reese. This time, however, it's not a person but a location - an apartment with the number 4C. As the team investigates, they discover that the apartment is in a building exclusively occupied by the elderly, and that a series of strange occurrences have been happening there.
Finch and Reese decide to pose as elderly tenants to get closer to their person of interest. While there, they find that one of the residents, Clare, has been the victim of abuse at the hands of her caretaker. Meanwhile, Shaw is tasked with infiltrating a high-security building to retrieve a piece of hardware that the machine needs to continue operating efficiently.
As the story progresses, Finch and Reese discover that the events at the apartment building are all connected to a larger scheme involving a notorious hacker known as "Link," who is plotting to take down the city's power grid. The team's mission, therefore, becomes to track down Link and prevent the attack from taking place.
The episode is filled with suspense and action as each member of the team carries out their respective tasks. At the same time, it also manages to tell a smaller, more intimate story about the plight of elderly people who are often, unfairly, neglected and taken advantage of.
As the episode concludes, the team successfully thwarts the attack on the power grid and Clare is rescued from her abuser. However, things take a sudden turn when Finch's cover is blown and he is ambushed. The final moments of the show leave viewers on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating what will happen next.
Overall, "4C" is a thrilling addition to the third season of Person of Interest. It's an episode that manages to tell a self-contained story while also advancing the larger narrative of the show. With strong performances from the show's talented cast and a gripping plot, it's a must-watch for fans of the series.
