Ep 8. Foe

Reese and Finch get a new number from the machine-- an ER nurse named Theresa Whitaker. Theresa cares for people both on and off the clock; she is compassionate and always willing to lend a hand. As they begin to investigate, they discover her criminal ex-boyfriend, Patrick Simmons, is back in town and has been stalking her. Theresa is unaware of his presence, and he is determined to win her back at all costs.

Reese and Finch pose as Theresa's insurance company agents to get close to her and warn her about Patrick. But, their plans go awry when Patrick approaches Theresa while they are there and they are forced to reveal their true identities to save her. Theresa is grateful and trusts them, asking for their help in getting a restraining order against Patrick.

Finch discovers that Patrick has been working for a local gang and has been tasked with stealing drugs from a rival gang. Reese and Finch work together to intercept the drug shipment before Patrick can get his hands on it. But, they find themselves caught in the middle of a gang war and must call in the help of their ally, Detective Carter.

Meanwhile, Detective Fusco is dealing with his own problems. He has been tasked with tracking down a missing witness in a high-profile case, but soon discovers that his informant has been lying to him. He turns to Reese for help, who discovers that the informant is working with the same gang that Patrick is a part of. Reese and Finch team up with Fusco to take down the gang and rescue the missing witness.

In the end, Theresa is safe and Patrick is arrested. Reese and Finch offer her a new identity and a fresh start, but she declines, stating that she wants to continue helping people and making a difference in her community. Reese and Finch respect her decision and promise to keep an eye on her from afar.

Foe is an action-packed episode that showcases the strengths of the main characters. Reese and Finch are at the top of their game as they work to keep Theresa safe and take down the dangerous gang. The addition of Detective Carter and Fusco adds another layer of intrigue and excitement to the episode. Overall, Foe is a thrilling and engaging addition to the first season of Person of Interest.
