Peppa suggests that they go to her grandpa's greenhouse to get some tomatoes and cucumbers for their sandwiches and then buy some bread from Miss Rabbit's shop.
As they venture out to the greenhouse, they meet Grandpa Pig who shares some interesting information about the vegetables they are picking. But, as they were about to leave, they heard some strange noises coming from the greenhouse. Upon closer inspection, they see that Polly Parrot (who belongs to Peppa's family) is locked inside. Suzy suggests that they rescue Polly so they can bring her along on their adventure to the shop.
Once at the shop, they realize that the shop has run out of bread, but they decide to make do with what they have and make tomato and cucumber soup instead. As they sit down to eat their soup, they realize that Polly Parrot is missing! They quickly realize that they had left Polly back at the shop while they were playing with some toys.
The two friends rush back to the shop to retrieve Polly, but when they arrive, the shop is closed! After many attempts, finally, Polly repeats Peppa's name loud enough for someone to hear, and they are rescued.
