Peg + Cat season 3 episode 6 is entitled "The Sushi Problem/The Highlight Zone Problem." In this episode, Peg and Cat find themselves facing two separate math-related problems.
In "The Sushi Problem," Peg and Cat are trying to raise money for the sushi chef who makes their favorite sushi. The chef needs a new knife, and Peg and Cat want to help him out. To do this, they set up a pop-up sushi restaurant, but they quickly realize that they don't even know how to make sushi! So they turn to a group of math-loving penguins for help. Together, Peg, Cat, and the penguins use math to figure out how much money they need to make, how much rice and fish to buy, and how long it will take to make and sell the sushi.
In "The Highlight Zone Problem," Peg and Cat are attending the Highlight Zone, a sports stadium where everything is highlighter-yellow and black. They're excited to watch their favorite team play, but they're also hoping to win the halftime raffle, which has a prize of a year's supply of highlighter markers. However, when Peg and Cat realize that the prize is actually just one marker per month, they decide to use math to figure out how long it will take for them to actually have a year's supply of markers. Along the way, they use math to measure the length of the field, figure out how many seats are in the stadium, and determine how many times per month they'll need to refill their marker.
Overall, "The Sushi Problem/The Highlight Zone Problem" is a fun and educational episode of Peg + Cat that teaches kids about math concepts like measurement, estimation, and problem solving. It also emphasizes the importance of helping others, as Peg and Cat work to raise money for the sushi chef and use their math skills to succeed at the Highlight Zone.
