Peep and the Big Wide World is a Canadian-American animated television series created by Kipper McGee and Nicky Phelan. The show is targeted at preschool-aged children and follows the adventures of a young chick named Peep, a robin named Chirp, and a small duck named Quack. Season 3 Episode 4 is titled "The Trip to Green Island/Give Me a Call."

In "The Trip to Green Island," Peep, Chirp, Quack, and Beaver Boy set off on a journey to Green Island. They pack everything they need for the trip, including snacks, water, and sunscreen, before embarking on their adventure. While on their journey, they face different challenges like crossing a rocky stream, going up a steep hill, and avoiding the bees.

Despite the challenges, the group remains determined and optimistic throughout their journey. Along the way, they discover new things like different types of flowers and plants. They stop to observe the nature around them and even make a game out of it, like counting the number of butterflies they see. Eventually, they reach Green Island and take time to enjoy the scenery, play in the sand, and swim in the ocean.

In "Give Me a Call," Peep and Chirp are playing at the pond when Quack finds a tin can with a string attached. Quack explains to his friends how he used to play with tin cans and strings as a young duck. The trio decides to try it out for themselves and each goes to different parts of the pond to talk to each other through the cans.

However, they quickly realize that the cans are not long enough to reach each other, and they become disheartened. Quack suggests they try to find something else that could work as a communication device, and the group starts brainstorming different ideas. They try using acorns, leaves, and even blowing bubbles. None of these methods work, and they become more discouraged.

Finally, they come up with the idea to use a series of mirrors to reflect the sun's rays from one place to another. They gather different items from the pond, such as stones, sticks, and leaves, and construct a makeshift mirror. After several tries, they are successful in reflecting the sun's rays to each other and are thrilled to be able to communicate with their new device.

Overall, "The Trip to Green Island" and "Give Me a Call" both focus on the themes of perseverance, problem-solving, and teamwork. The characters work together to overcome obstacles and find creative solutions to their problems. Both episodes encourage children to explore the world around them, be curious, and think outside the box. The show is an excellent option for parents looking for a fun and educational program for their young children.
