In "Beauty Makeovers," the sixth episode of Pee-Wee's Playhouse's first season, Pee-Wee invites his friends to participate in a beauty makeover contest. The contestants include Cowboy Curtis, Miss Yvonne, Jambi the Genie, and Reba the Mail Lady.
As the contest begins, each contestant eagerly awaits their turn for a full beauty treatment. With the help of Pablo and his trusty grooming supplies, Pee-Wee transforms the Playhouse into a salon and sets to work. Cowboy Curtis gets a haircut and a new outfit, while Miss Yvonne gets her hair styled and makeup applied.
Meanwhile, Jambi's transformation proves to be more magical, as he is able to change his clothes and appearance with a snap of his fingers. As for Reba, she receives a new hat and a special delivery from Pee-Wee's Playhouse salon.
Throughout the episode, Pee-Wee provides commentary on the contest and offers his own opinion on the merits of each transformation. He also introduces special guests, including Randy, the resident puppet, who gets his own mini-makeover.
As the contest comes to a close, Pee-Wee announces the winner and presents them with a special prize. But as always, the true reward is the friends made along the way and the memories of the wacky and wonderful Playhouse experience.
