In season 10 episode 22 of Pawn Stars, titled The Book of Rick, viewers are transported back in time to the mid-'70s with a rare guitar that belonged to legendary rock band KISS. The pawn shop gets a visit from a seller who owns an original "Ace Frehley" Les Paul guitar. Rick, the owner of the pawn shop, has been a longtime fan of the band and is excited to see the iconic guitar in person.
However, Rick is not the only one interested in buying the guitar. A KISS mega-fan also comes in to try and get his hands on the guitar. The seller is aware of both bidders and is hoping to get as much money as he can for the prized possession. As the negotiations begin, it becomes clear that Rick's passion for the band may be clouding his judgment in terms of how much he is willing to pay for it.
Meanwhile, Chumlee, one of Rick's employees, stumbles upon an old book in the back of the pawn shop. Upon closer inspection, Chumlee realizes it is an original edition of "The Book of Mormon" from the late 1800s. Chumlee thinks he may have struck gold and takes the book to an appraiser to find out its value.
As the day progresses, the value of the guitar continues to escalate, and Rick faces a tough decision about how much he is willing to spend. At the same time, Chumlee anxiously awaits the appraiser's verdict on the book he found.
