Ep 9. The Fireplace

In the season 4 episode 9 of Paranormal Witness, titled "The Fireplace", viewers are introduced to Don and Elaine, a retired couple who moved into their dream home in a small town in Wisconsin. The couple had spent years searching for the perfect home, and they were thrilled to finally find a place that had everything they wanted – including a beautiful fireplace in the living room.

When they went to investigate, they found that the fireplace had flared up, with flames shooting out of the chimney. The couple was terrified, convinced that they were being targeted by some malevolent force.

As they began their investigation, they quickly realized that there was indeed something strange going on in the house. They picked up numerous EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recordings, including the sounds of someone whispering and strange, disembodied voices.

The team also noticed that the activity seemed to be centered around the living room and, in particular, the fireplace. They began to suspect that there might be some kind of portal or gateway to the spirit world located there. To test this theory, they decided to conduct a séance in the living room, with Don and Elaine present.

During the séance, the team made contact with several spirits, including one that identified itself as "Sarah". Sarah claimed to have been a former resident of the house, who had died there years before. She claimed that she was trapped in the house and unable to move on to the afterlife. The team attempted to help Sarah move on by giving her advice on how to cross over, but it seemed that she was reluctant to leave.

After the séance, the paranormal team continued their investigation. They discovered that the fireplace had been built using bricks from an old mental asylum that had been torn down years before. They also found that the house was located on land that had been used as a burial ground for Native Americans.

With this information, the team hypothesized that the paranormal activity in the home was likely the result of a convergence of two powerful sources of energy: the bricks from the asylum and the Native American burial ground. They believed that these energy sources were interacting with each other to create a portal or gateway to the spirit world, which was allowing the spirits to enter the home.

In the end, Don and Elaine decided to leave their dream home and move somewhere else. They were both too scared to continue living there, and they feared for their safety. The paranormal team continued to investigate the property, hoping to learn more about the strange occurrences that had plagued Don and Elaine. Though they never found definitive answers, they did discover that there was indeed something unusual about the property and the fireplace. The episode ends with the suggestion that the paranormal activity may not be over, and that there may still be more to uncover about the mysterious energy sources that inhabit the property.
