Ep 8. Jab Jaago Tabhi Savera

Jab Jaago Tabhi Savera is the eighth episode of the first season of the Indian web series, Panchayat. The episode revolved around Abhishek Tripathi, who is still struggling to adjust to the rural lifestyle at Phulera village but is slowly getting used to the environment there. He is still trying to adapt to the slow pace of life as well as the traditional ways of the village. However, he continues to be a beacon of light in the Panchayat office, slowly winning over the villagers with his modern ideas and wit.

In this episode, Abhishek and his team are presented with the task of preparing a sanitation report for the village. After going through the village and assessing the sanitation facilities, Abhishek realizes the extent of the problem and decides to do something about it. He comes up with a plan to install toilets in every household, which would not only enhance the sanitation condition in the village but also make it more convenient for villagers.

However, this solution is not an easy one as it requires a lot of funds and resources. Abhishek is forced to tap into his diplomacy skills in order to convince the village elders to contribute to the project. He presents the plan to the Panchayat and the elders who are initially hesitant to contribute due to economic constraints. However, Abhishek manages to convince them to pool their resources and contribute towards improving the sanitation facilities in the village.

As the project moves ahead, Abhishek faces another challenge when he realizes that the village has a preference for traditional toilets, and they are initially hesitant to adopt western-style toilets that he has proposed. This creates a dilemma for Abhishek, and he is unsure about the way forward. Ultimately, using his modern thinking approach, he decides to come up with a more traditional design that will resonate with the villagers' sentiments. He successfully manages to overcome this obstacle and install the toilets in every household of the village.

The episode ends with a shot of the entire village coming out of their homes on a bright sunny morning, excited to use their new toilets. Abhishek and the Panchayat team watch in satisfaction as their project comes to fruition and the villagers embrace the new facilities. In the end, it is a victory for everyone involved, with Abhishek gaining the respect of the villagers and the Panchayat team overcoming a monumental challenge. The episode ends on a positive note, delivering a message of hope and positive change in the face of adversity.
