In Packed To The Rafters season 2 episode 11 titled Power Play, tension runs high in the Rafters household as Dave's job prospect puts him in a difficult position. Dave's career has been in a bit of a slump, but when he's offered a new job opportunity, the catch is that it's in Newcastle, Australia, which means uprooting the entire family. This creates a dilemma for Dave as he grapples with whether or not to take the job and leave the home and community he loves, or remain in Sydney and make do with his current situation.
At the same time, Ted is struggling with his identity and his newfound position as a business owner, and it's causing tension in his relationship with his wife, Julie. When Julie tells him that she wants to take a break from their marriage, Ted is left feeling lost and searching for answers. He turns to his family for support and guidance as he goes through this difficult time.
Meanwhile, Rachel's relationship with Jake is starting to heat up, but with the arrival of a new client, she finds herself having to choose between her burgeoning love life and her career aspirations. This leaves her feeling conflicted and unsure of what path to take.
As all of these individual storylines unfold, the family comes together to support one another through their personal struggles. They rally around Dave as he makes a difficult decision about his future, and offer Ted a shoulder to lean on as he navigates the complexities of his identity and relationships. And when Rachel seeks advice about her love life, they help her find a way to balance her personal and professional aspirations.
Throughout the episode, we see the Rafters come together as a family to face their challenges head-on, and we see the strength and resilience that comes from having a strong support system. As they navigate their individual struggles, they also strengthen the bonds that hold them together and remind us of the power of family in difficult times.
