In the fifth episode of the first season of Overlord, titled "Two Venturers," the story takes a slight detour from the main narrative and follows two new characters - Ninya and Evileye.
The episode begins with Ainz, the main protagonist, requesting his right-hand man, Sebas, to investigate illegal workers in E-Rantel who are allegedly being held captive and forced to work. Sebas agrees, and in the process of his investigation, he discovers that two workers named Ninya and Evileye are actually members of a group of adventurers known as "Blue Roses."
Sebas invites the adventurers to meet with Ainz to discuss possible collaborations, and Ninya and Evileye excitedly accept the invitation. However, once they arrive at Ainz's castle, they realize that he is not the type of person they were expecting. Ainz, who is actually a powerful undead creature, scares the adventurers with his cold demeanor and aura of power.
Despite their initial apprehension, Ninya and Evileye proceed with their discussion with Ainz and his subordinates. They propose that Ainz join forces with Blue Roses to take down a powerful group of demons known as "Eight Fingers" who are terrorizing the city. Ainz agrees to the proposal and sends Sebas to meet with Blue Roses to discuss the details of their alliance.
Meanwhile, Ninya continues to act as the intermediary between Ainz's forces and Blue Roses. She begins to develop a friendship with Ainz's subordinate, Albedo, and even creates a magic item for her. However, as the alliance between the two groups becomes more solidified, Ninya begins to realize the true nature of the undead creatures she's working with.
The episode ends with a shocking revelation that will undoubtedly have an impact on the rest of the series.
Overall, "Two Venturers" is a strong episode that introduces new characters and sets the stage for a major plot development. It's an interesting departure from the main narrative, but it does a good job of expanding the world of Overlord and building anticipation for the next episode.
